The Nowata Ironmen are coming off a tough loss to Oklahoma Union last week, but they have an opportunity to make that a game of the past and get in the playoffs with a senior night win over Tonkawa on Friday night. That is a game that has been moved to 6 p.m. due to the chance for inclement weather.

Nowata Coach Chance Juby said in a week that has been filled with rain where the field probably won't be in the best shape, it is important they come out and control the line of scrimmage.

The Buccaneers have battled injuries throughout the year, but many of those players have returned for Tonkawa. Juby knows it will be a tough game, but understands that it would be a meaningful win to the program.

With a win over Tonkawa, the Buccaneers, could get as high as the three seed in the district. If Morrison were to pull an upset over Pawhuska, Nowata could find itself out of the playoffs completely.

Friday evening's game can be heard on Real Country KRIG 104.9 FM and KRIGTV.com. Pregame coverage will start an hour earlier than normal, at 5:30 p.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
