WCS Football Headed to Playoffs
Despite a tough start to the season, Wesleyan Christian School football is in the playoffs for the fifth straight year.
The Mustangs officially punched their ticket after a big 50-0 win over Gans last week. This gives WCS wins in back-to-back weeks after an 0-7 start. The win last week and over Arkoma means regardless of the result on Friday at Wilson, WCS is dancing.
First year head coach Blaine Landers says he gives his team credit for hanging in there early.
As for this week, it will be tough sledding for Wesleyan Christian. The Mustangs face a Wilson club that not only is undefeated in the District but has not allowed one point in their four District games.
Landers talks about his approach to the Wilson game on Thursday night.
WCS at Wilson on Thursday evening at 7:00 to round out the Mustang’s regular season.
Wesleyan will face the 1-seed out of Class B-II District 3, which right now is Covington Douglas.
