Panthers Look to End Regular Season on a High Note
In Barnsdall's first year back playing 11-man football in four years, the Panthers are heading to the playoffs. Despite a tough loss to Hominy last week, the Panthers play a Porter team on Thursday that is ineligible to receive district points after they were involved in a benches clearing brawl against Ketchum three weeks ago. They had to forfeit the next week's game against Hominy as well.
For Barnsdall, Coach Kylee Sweeney said his team has faced injury problems all year long, but as the regular season winds to a close, Sweeney said this is as healthy his team has been since the opening of fall camp.
Despite the tough season that the Pirates have faced, Sweeney said he knows that Porter will come ready to play for their final game of the year.
Thursday's senior night game for the Panthers kicks off at 7 p.m.
