Donation towards Lions Park in Dewey approved

At the Monday Dewey City Council meeting, the Council approved a donation by the City of Dewey to the Friends of Dewey Parks of $7,500 for park improvements from the American Rescue Act. Cindy Bray, President of Friends of Dewey Parks says that the funds will go towards equipment and a playground area for Lions Park in Dewey.
Bray says that the Friends of Dewey Parks are working on some fundraising that include cornhole and disk golf events. For more information, go to https://www.friendsofdeweyparks.org/
Also at the meeting, the City approved a park lease agreement with the City of Dewey and Green Fuels Operations Inc. The motion passed unamiously.
Dewey City Council meets the the first and third of every month at Dewey City Hall.
