Bartlesville High football can still grab the No. 5 seed for the playoffs out of its 6A-II District 2.

To do so, the Bruins will have to win their final two games of the year. BHS should have a good chance to grab the victories, as PC West on Friday and Capitol Hill next week are likely the two weakest teams in the District.

Bartlesville is coming off its first win of the season, a solid 30-20 effort in all facets in a win at Ponca City.

Bruin head coach Harry Wright says the challenge moving forward is for this group to keep some confidence.

PC West has only one win on the field this year, a 34-14 victory over Capitol Hill last week. The Patriots pushed the Bruins at Custer a year ago. Bartlesville only won by three. However, PC West lost 16 seniors off that team.

Wright previews Putnam City West.

Looks like the rain will stay away for the contest on Friday evening, a 6:30 pregame and a 7:00 kick on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
