KWON had a chance to talk Bartlesville High Bruin football on Wednesday night with Bruin head football coach Harry Wright, as he had his weekly radio show at Dink’s Pit BBQ.

Wright and Bruin freshman Michael Kent talked about the Bruin’s win over Ponca City last week and previewed BHS and Putnam City West on Friday from Custer Stadium.

One of the biggest storylines was the poised play of Kent in his first career start at QB in some tumultuous circumstances.

Wright says the thing that impressed him most about the performance was his attitude and the way he attacked the challenge.

Kent had gotten a chance to start at defensive back throughout the season, along with some wide receiver play over the past month.

He says getting the start at QB was fun, and the vibes around the team are at a season-high.

If you missed the interview with Wright or Kent, we have the entire show archived on KWONTV.com. We talk Bruin football every Wednesday at 6:00 from Dink’s.

A 6:30 pregame and 7:00 kick on Friday from Custer Stadium, Bruins and PC West.
