Let’s stick with football briefly, as Bartlesville High will have a good chance to end the regular season with three straight wins.

The Bruins got their first victory of the season on Friday night at Ponca City, 30-20. The Bruins got out to an early 16-0 lead. Despite having it cut to two in the fourth quarter, BHS kept the Wildcats at bay with back-to-back touchdowns late.

After the game, head coach Harry Wright said he was proud of his team’s effort after an 0-7 start.
