Another important game for Bartlesville High football on Friday, as the Bruins travel to Ponca City to take on the Wildcats.

BHS finds its season at an inflection point, as both Ponca and Bartlesville are winless in District play. Bartlesville will have a new starting quarterback and a younger lineup down the stretch of the season.

Michael Kent will make his first start at QB. He has been regarded as the quarterback of the future for the Bruins, which will begin tonight.

Head coach Harry Wright talks about things the offense needs to do to help Kent in his first extended varsity action.

Meanwhile on the other side of the ball, Bartlesville just put together its best defensive performance of the season, holding PC North to only 10 points in 3.5 quarters.

Ponca City may be going under some changes offensively this week but has run the triple option most of the year.

Wright talks about keys on the Bruin defense.

This is the 81st meeting all-time between Bartlesville and Ponca City. The Wildcats have won the last two in the series. This is the first game between the two since 2021.

A 6:30 pregame with a 7:00 kick in a contest we will have for you on KWON and KWONTV.com this evening.
