While nearly every other team across the state of Oklahoma are putting it all on the line this week, the Pawhuska Huskies are getting a much needed bye week. This comes as a result of Pawhuska and Nowata playing each other in a week zero district contest.

Coach Matt Hennesy has said from the beginning of the season that this bye week will come at a good time so that the team can reset, both mentally and physically. Players and coaches both took the fall break weekend off and Hennesy detailed what the last week has looked like.

Hennesy added that with that time off, he could tell a difference in how the team reacted when they took to the field for practice on Monday morning.

Pawhuska is back in action next Friday with a game at Quapaw. That is a game you can hear on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Pregame coverage will start at 6:30 p.m.
