OKU football looks to get on track at Caney Valley

Oklahoma Union is 1-5 on the season and is urgently searching for a win in A1 3 District play as they host regional opponent 1-5 Caney Valley on Thursday.
 
OKU quarterback and linebacker Connor Pierce has starred for Cougars all season and he tells Bartlesville Radio that he feels his team is focused and excited to try to get their first district win.
 
OKU has been competitive all season long, no game more evident than in last Friday night's 40-36 loss to Quapaw. Cougars Head Coach Stephen Trammel says his team has played well but has struggled to finish games. 
 
This week’s test is a Caney Valley team that although is coming off a tough 80-0 last week to Pawnee, Trammel says the Trojans have strengths that can provide a challenge
 
OKU at home against Caney Valley in Northern Nowata County Thursday night at 7.
