Big day on Tuesday for Bartlesville High volleyball, as the Bruins host a 6A Regional at Bruin Field House for the first time in nearly 15 years.

We will hopefully have two BHS matches for you on KWONTV.com Tuesday night.

Bartlesville finished the regular season at 29-8, just a few games better than years past, which put the Bruins over the top to host.

BRUIN REGIONAL BRACKET

The overall feeling within the program is that Tuesday should be the first step on the way to the 6A State Tournament. Head coach Andrew Blain is in his first year as head man, but fifth year with the program this fall.

Blain says that expectation made some of the milestones at the end of the year feel different, like senior night a couple of weeks ago.

Bartlesville will take on Sand Springs in the first round at 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon. The Bruins beat the Sandites 3-0 during their first match of the year on Aug. 12. BHS will have to win over Sand Springs to advance to the Regional title round at 7:30 on Tuesday evening.

Blain talks keys for a good night for Bruin volleyball.

Bixby will face Westmoore at 6:00 in the other semifinal match. We will have the 4:30 matchup on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM with the 7:30 match on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1 with both video live streams on KWONTV.com Tuesday evening.
