Bartlesville High volleyball will host its first Regional in nearly 15 years on Tuesday evening at Bruin Field House.

The Bruins enter their own Regional with a 29-8 record and are ranked at No. 5 in 6A. Bartlesville has been close to getting to this point several times over the past three years, falling just short of hosting.

A win over No. 1 ranked Broken Arrow in September, followed by another big win over Jenks ended up giving BHS momentum. Those wins kept the Bruins in the top eight in the state. First year head coach Andrew Blain talks about those wins.

As for the differences between the past three or four years and this season, Blain points to several items of consistency for his club.

Bartlesville will take on Sand Springs at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon in the first round. That match can be seen on KWONTV.com and you can also listen on Sports Talk 1500 AM and 99.1 FM – KPGM.

Should Bartlesville beat the Sandites at 4:30, BHS will then face the winner of Westmoore and Bixby at 7:30 in the championship round, on KWON and KWONTV.com.

Bartlesville needs two wins to get to state.
