Muskogee Blows Out Bruins
Bartlesville High ran into one of the best teams in the state, as Muskogee beat the Bruins 55-0 in a District contest on Friday night.
Roughers scored on their first three drives and got a great night from their senior quarterback in the win. Muskogee’s Jamarian Ficklin tossed six touchdown passes in the victory. Four of the touchdowns went to OnDraye Beasley on the night.
Bartlesville twice moved the ball inside the Rougher 30 in the first half, but had a turnover on downs and an end of half end those threats. BHS never seriously threatened to score after that.
It was 27-0 Muskogee at the break, the Roughers tacked on 14 more points in the first four minutes of the third quarter to put the game away.
Bartlesville is 0-6 overall and 0-3 in District play. The Bruins back half of the schedule gets easier, and they are still in play for a home playoff game if they can rack up wins at the end.
BHS will host a good Putnam City North team on Thursday night from Custer Stadium on KWON and KWONTV.com.
