The Pawhuska Huskies got a 52-20 win over the Oklahoma Union Cougars on Friday night. It was Oklahoma Union who fight and clawed in an attempt to stay in the game for as long as possible, though.

The Huskies led by a score at the halftime break and that is when Coach Matt Hennesy said it wasn't as much about making in-game adjustments as much as getting the mind right.

Several Pawhuska players were out, which forced numerous players to switch positions. Hennesy said he was pleased with the way those guys stepped up.

Several of those players will be back this week, but senior athlete Chase Eaves suffered a leg injury. A timeframe on when he is expected back is still up in the air.

Pawhuska travels to Pawnee this week. Pregame will begin at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on 99.1 FM KPGM and KPGMTV.com.
