The Copan Hornets are coming off their first loss of the season from this past week, that being a 44-34 loss at the hands of Dewar's JV. Despite the JV next to their name, Coach Marshall Foreman says Dewar has been one of the better 8-man football teams across the state for several years and they had many varsity players rotating in the starting lineup.

After putting up 34 points, Foreman says he was impressed with the offense. His son, Kane Foreman threw four touchdown passes. It was Shooter Brewington who caught three of those touchdowns. Defensively, Foreman said they walked away learning that they have a few things to work on.

The Hornets will play at Olive on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
