Dewey football focuses on improvement during bye

Dewey football is off tonight as the Bulldoggers have a bye, and it comes at right time after a difficult 53-13 loss to Checotah last week to fall to 0-3.

Dewey has been outscored 153-36 through three games and Head Coach Ryan Richardson admits it's been a tough start for his team, but one thing he said the Bulldoggers have focused on this week is the ground game.

With no game Friday, Richardson says it gives his players a chance to rest and enjoy their Friday night, but Richardson says he and his staff will take advantage too.

Next up is the beginning of district play against 2-0 Metro Christian next week.
