We had our weekly Bartlesville High football coaches show on Wednesday night at Dink’s Pit BBQ, as Bartlesville head coach Harry Wright and Bruin senior wide receiver Damien Niko previewed Bartlesville and Collinsville on Friday night.

Through two games, BHS is giving up about 7.0 yards a carry to opponents rushing attacks. Even with that number, two weeks ago the Bruin’s last opponent in Claremore only managed one touchdown in the second half.

Wright says he wants his team to take some of the rhythm away from opposing offenses.

On offense, Bartlesville has been reliant on its two big senior playmakers in quarterback Nate Neal and Niko at wideout. Niko had nearly 300 yards receiving out of 425 yards total for the Bruins against the Zebras.

Wright says he wants to get back to running the ball more consistently, and some of that goes back to how Bartlesville does on first down.

A 6:30 pregame with a 7:00 kick on Friday night, Bartlesville hosting 5A power Collinsville. A contest we will carry for you on KWON and KWONTV.com

You can watch the show archived from Wednesday on KWONTV.com, as well.
