In some big news for the Bartlesville soccer community, The Bartlesville F.C Buffalos, a recently formed semi-professional soccer club announced on Saturday that they have been accepted to play in the qualifying rounds of the 2025 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

The Buffaloes will be one of the representatives of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) and as one of the 114 teams in the competition, are vying for 14 spots in the US Open Cup.
Luka Milicevic was the Head Coach of Bartlesville F.C last fall and a member of the Board of Directors, he says qualifying for the US Open Cup would be huge for the club.

Perica Obradovic is a player on the inaugural Buffaloes team that won their spring league championship last spring, he is also a board member for the club and says that seeing Tulsa FC have success in the U.S Open Cup inspired them to form the new team, but to chase the greatness as well.

Bartlesville FC will begin qualifying for the US Open Cup in mid October, with fixtures yet to be determined. If Bartlesville FC qualifies for the tournament, they would be in the same tournament with some of the biggest names in soccer, like Argentina star Lionel Messi of Miami FC, among many others from the top MLS teams.
