Patriot Athlete of the Week: Sebastian Pierce

It is another Monday, which means it is time for another Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the week, powered by Tri County Tech.

Today we look at our first football player of the year, as Wesleyan Christian School star Sebastian Pierce takes center stage.

Pierce has been a part of WCS football for the past several successful seasons but has taken on a new role in a new era of Mustang football. Pierce is a tight end and defensive end. He is now a two-way starter.

Pierce talks about getting to play more this season than years past.

Pierce doesn’t know exactly what the future will hold for him in May when he graduates, but he has an interest in cars. He says becoming a car mechanic might be a good career.

The Mustangs are off to an 0-2 start after two games against Yale and Keota, a couple tough non-District opponents. WCS will be in Class B-II District 4 this fall. With only six teams, the Mustangs should still have a good chance to compete for a playoff spot.

Pierce talks about the beginning of the Wesleyan Christian School football season.

WCS will be back at home against Claremore Christian this Friday night. It is Wesleyan Christian’s third straight home game to begin the year.

Congrats again to Sebastian Pierce, this week’s Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week.
