A big name in Bartlesville golf took home a big-time trophy earlier this week.

Current Bartlesville High Assistant Athletic Director and former longtime BHS golf coach Terry Hughes won the Oklahoma Golf Association Super Senior Championship earlier this week.

It was a hot couple of days for Hughes at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, but the scores were low. Hughes shot two rounds under par. A round one 69 and a round two 70. Both of those scores were the lowest of the tournament.

The two-day score of 139 won the event by four strokes over second-place Terry Collier of Bixby. The next closet was Robert Moore of Stillwater, 12 strokes off Hughes’ winning score.

Steve Hughes also finished in the top-20, with a 14th place finish at 159.
