Oklahoma Senators James Lankford and Markwayne Mullin have sent a letter to the International Olympic Committee President after the Last Supper depiction at Friday’s opening ceremonies in Paris. The two senators, along with their colleagues, call the depiction offensive. They had this to say in the letter:

“The International Olympic Committee should formally condemn the mockery that occurred in Paris of one of the most sacred moments of the Christian faith.”

Lankford recently introduced a resolution in support of international religious freedoms.
