The Westside Community Center is buzzing with excitement and activity! On a recent episode of COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Executive Director Shavon Robles and WCC Board Member Richard Mitchell highlighted how the center is serving the entire Bartlesville community, transcending neighborhood boundaries.

Shavon invited parents to enroll their children in the Summer Fine Arts Intensive, a dynamic 5-day program designed to spark creativity. This program offers kids a chance to explore painting, creative writing, entrepreneurship, theater, and film in a supportive and engaging setting, allowing them to fully express themselves and develop their artistic talents.

In addition, Shavon and Richard warmly invited everyone to the Back 2 School Extravaganza, happening on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westside Community Center, located at 501 S Bucy Ave in Bartlesville. This event, hosted in collaboration with BrayMay Barber Club and Greater First Church, promises an afternoon of free carnival games, delicious treats like popcorn, cotton candy, and hotdogs, and complimentary haircuts to help kids start the school year in style.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Family Game Night + Scenes On The Green at Douglass Park on Saturday, August 24, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, also at 501 S Bucy Ave. Enjoy family-friendly games with prizes inside the Westside Community Center, followed by a magical outdoor movie night under the stars at Douglass Park. Remember to bring blankets, low chairs, and friends.

The evening includes giveaways, $0.25 popcorn, $1 hotdogs, and a lot of family fun. Doors open at 5:30 PM, Bingo starts at 6:30 PM, and the movie begins at 8:00 PM. No tickets are required for entry!
