A recent familiar name to Bartlesville golf nearly got another tournament title over the weekend.

Former Bartlesville Bruin and this year’s Bartlesville City Golf Champion Nathan Hughes finished in a tie for second at the Kansas City Amateur golf tournament on Sunday.

The KC Amateur was a three-day tournament at Creekmoor Golf Club in Raymore, Missouri.

Hughes shot a three round 212, which is good for four under par.

The winner was Michael Winslow, who shot a 210, two strokes better than Hughes. Winslow played his college golf at Wichita State.
