The Nowata County Commissioners held a very run of the mill meeting on Monday with Chairman Timmie Benson being absent. A member of the Nowata Chamber of Commerce came by to give an update and set a date for their annual “state of the county,” which will be set on July 31^st.

This event is open to the public, and here is what you can expect to hear from the Nowata Commissioners.   

They also approved multiple items pertaining to Nowata County Treasurer Rachel Marrs involving designating banks as county depositories, their investment policy, and adding a new name on the county account.

They also accepted a donation for the Nowata County Jail.

The commissioners will meet again next Monday at 9 am and the meeting is open to the public.
