The Pawhuska City Council must approve a budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year by Thursday. On Tuesday, they held a special meeting to discuss what could be done in an effort to prevent the jobs being lost that City Manager Jerry Eubanks talked about last week.

Eubanks said since last week's meeting, he has spoke with department heads from across town and they have tried putting their heads together in an effort to make things work.

Eubanks believes he is presenting an “ultra conservative” budget. Eubanks says as long as they make the transfers on a monthly basis, if he feels confident in where they stand.

Thursday's budget adoption will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Dave Landrum Community Center in Pawhuska.
