Since Dr. Everett Piper stepped down from his post as County Commissioner for District One earlier this year, Anthony Hudson has been serving in that interim role. After Tuesday night's election results came in, Hudson was promoted to serve in that capacity full time, as he defeated Randall Jones by nearly 50 percentage points.

Hudson thanks the voters for the support and says he is excited to get to work for the people of district one.

Hudson says working together as a community within the county is his biggest goal as he hits the ground running.
