We have talked a bunch about the Doenges Ford Indians this summer and their hot start, but that is not the only summer baseball in town.

Bartlesville High has its own summer club that plays on Monday and Tuesday throughout the month of June.

It is another time for the Bruins to get a little work in together before things ramp back up for workouts and practices in the fall.

Head coach Cody Price talks about he and the Bruins approach summer baseball.

Through 13 games this year the Bruins are 6-6-1 on the summer. After beating Sapulpa 13-7 on Monday the Chieftain’s topped Bartlesville in three straight games to end that series.

Bartlesville went 2-1-1 against Coweta, 2-0 against Glenpool, 1-2 against Pryor then 1-3 against Sapulpa.

BHS will return about half its starting lineup and two-thirds of its pitching from last year.

Looking ahead to 2025, there may be some younger guys in the lineup.

More on offseason for Bruin baseball over the course of the next several months.
