After 38 years of service, a local golf professional is retiring. Adams Golf Course Professional Jerry Benedict has announced that his last day with the City of Bartlesville will be Friday, August 16th. 

Benedict has led the city-owned course since 1986 and Assistant City Manager Laura Sanders had this to say on his retirement:

"For 38 years, Jerry has served Adams Golf Course and the community through his leadership, technical expertise and ability to provide services and products that help the golf club and everyone who uses it." 

The announcement of who will serve that role on an interim basis will be made soon.
