The Dewey Bulldoggers have been busy this summer on the gridiron, as they approach the mandatory OSSAA dead period in July. We previously mentioned that Dewey will have some important spots to fill before the fall, but none more important than the signal caller spot.

With junior-to-be Ryder Muninger transferring, Head Coach Ryan Richardson had to make a move to fill that spot. Easton Davis, who is entering his junior year, looks to be taking that spot. Davis has been holding the spot of gunslinger this summer and has performed well after leaving his position of receiver.

Richardson talks about Davis performance so far.

Davis played emergency and wildcat quarterback for the Bulldoggers last year and showed flashes. Davis has an extra ability to get loose on the ground added into his throwing ability.

The Bulldoggers will continue to compete in the Pawhuska passing leagues, trying to sharpen up the new signal caller before August.
