Project Tribute will soon provide lifesaving anti-choking devices to area public elementary schools thanks to a $3,500 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

David Nickel, Arvest Bank president – Bartlesville Region, presented the check to Project Tribute founder Jon Beckloff and Director of Operations Bryce Wood, school resource officer Korie Plummer and Lt. Chris Mimms.

“Project Tribute has helped provide equipment to first responders in rural areas like no other organization. It is an honor to present this check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support elementary schools in the area,” Nickel said.

Project Tribute is dedicated to empowering first responders with essential training, advanced gear, and crucial supplies to enhance life-saving capabilities. The grant from the Arvest Foundation will cover all costs associated with the purchase of 13 LifeVac School kits for all six Bartlesville Elementary Schools, plus three kits for Dewey Schools, two kits for Copan, and two kits for Caney Valley. The anti-choking LiveVac School Kits can be placed in the school cafeterias to allow a responding person the ability to safely extract a choking item while reducing the varying risks to the victim and responder.

“This generous donation from the Arvest Foundation will have a profound impact on our community,” Beckloff said. “Ensuring that our schools are equipped with LifeVac School kits enhances the safety of our children and provides peace of mind to parents and educators. We are deeply grateful for the Arvest Foundation’s commitment to helping us protect the lives of our youngest citizens.”
