A Bartlesville man was seen in Washington County Court Wednesday on the charges of domestic abuse by strangulation and kidnapping. Adam Mummey is alleged of punching and choking the victim during an argument.

Mummey told police that there was an argument that led to things getting physical but couldn’t specify who got physical first or what he meant by that. According to an affidavit, the victim alleges that Mummey would not let her leave the residence after he got angry over his lost charge cards for his phones, and that is when things got physical.

Mummey has prior history with domestic violence and was given a $25,000 bond. He is ordered to have no contact with the victim and was ordered to appear back on June 21^st.
