The Nowata County Commissioners started their meeting with the awarding of a bid for road oil before announcing a surplus of a 2011 Sheriff’s Crown Victoria that was damaged during a tornado.

Nowata County Clerk Kay Spurgeon announced three donations that the Nowata County Jail received pertaining to food and electronics.

Spurgeon next explained the memorandum of understanding between the Sheriff’s office and Neighbors Building Neighborhoods in Muskogee. 

The Commissioners will meet again next Monday at 9 am at the Nowata County Courthouse Annex, and the meeting is open to the public.
