OU and Oklahoma State baseball begin their own Regionals in the NCAA Baseball Tournament on Friday evening, as well.

Let’s begin in Norman, where Oklahoma will be hosting its first Regional since 2010. Sooners have a first-round matchup with in-state foe Oral Roberts. An ORU win over OU a few weeks ago jump-started the Golden Eagle’s season and run through the Summit League Tournament to qualify for the NCAA’s.

OU head coach Skip Johnson talks about the Sooner’s opponent.

It will likely be former Bartlesville High Bruin Jakob Hall on the mound for Oral Roberts against the Sooners.

Hall has been ORU’s Friday night starter the past two seasons. He also opened the Golden Eagle’s Regional in Stillwater last year, too. Hall enters with a 10-2 record and a 3.71 ERA in his junior campaign.

Meanwhile Oklahoma State is hosting for the third straight year. Cowboys have missed on the Super Regional round every year since 2019.
