Indians Impressed with Opening Performances

One day away from the Doenges Ford Indians getting back on the field.

Bartlesville heads to Fort Smith, Arkansas for four games over three days. The Indians are 4-0 thanks to many different solid contributions this past weekend.

One of the best was a start from Grant Clark on the mound in game one. Clark set the tone with a complete game shutout in the first contest of the year. Clark was someone who came on strong pitching-wise for the Bruins later in the spring, and he has continued that run into the summer.

Manager John Pannell talks about the first victory on the mound for Clark.

The Indians were good but not great offensively in the opening weekend. The trio at the top of the lineup in Luke Fox, Brenden Asher and Kaleb Bashford led the way. Add in Nik Johnson and Eric Olenburger, and you have a solid top five to the lineup.

Pannell talks about a few of the bats to begin the year.

Indians head to the Katzer Tournament in the Natural State on Friday night at 6:00 for a single game. We will have that one for you on KWON and KWONTV.com.
