A Bartlesville man was arrested early Wednesday morning on stalking and other charges.

The Bartlesville Police said in a news release that the Criminal Investigations Division and the Special Operations Team served a search warrant in the 700 Block of SE Concord Drive at 6 AM on Wednesdy. Upon serving the warrant, Michael Blatchford was taken into custody without incident for the charges of stalking and placing obscene/threatening/harassing phone calls.

BPD says the arrest follows months of persistent efforts by law enforcement to track and gather evidence against the suspect, who has been accused of causing significant distress and fear in our community.

Stalking is a serious crime that impacts the safety and well-being of our citizens, said Deputy Police Chief Andrew Ward in a written statement, and we remain committed to protecting those vulnerable to such threats.

BPD encourages anyone experiencing similar issues to come forward, ensuring that all reports are taken seriously and addressed promptly.
