College baseball Regionals begin on Friday night, and Bartians will be glued to the opening-round matchup between Oklahoma and Oral Roberts in the Norman Regional.

It would seem likely that ORU’s usual Friday night starter in right-handed former Bartlesville Bruin Jakob Hall would get the start against the Sooners.

Another big-stage-start for Hall after he performed well during the NCAA Tournament a year ago in Oral Robert’s run to Omaha.

He made three starts against Oklahoma State, Oregon and TCU in the postseason last year, allowing seven runs and nine strikeouts over those outings.

ORU making the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year seemed unlikely just a few weeks ago. The Golden Eagles finished fourth in a six-team Summit League, going 13-15-1 in conference play. However, ORU went 3-0 in the conference tourney to qualify once again.

Head coach Ryan Folmar talks about Oral Roberts baseball heading into the postseason.

A 6:00 first pitch from L. Dale Mitchell Ballpark in Norman.

Oklahoma State also starts its baseball Regional on Friday night against Niagra.
