The risk for severe weather forecast for Saturday afternoon and evening continues across the listening area.

According to a Saturday morning update from the National Weather Service, the risk level for severe weather remains in the moderate category (Level 4 of 5) for all of Osage, Washington and Nowata counties in northeast Oklahoma and Chautauqua and Montgomery counties in southeast Kansas.

Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats, but an elevated tornado potential will exist, specifically along and west of Highway 75 in northeastern Oklahoma.

The most likely timing for our area is Saturday from the early to late evening hours.
