A former Bartlesville High Bruin baseball star received a big-time season-long award on Tuesday.

Former Bruin pitcher Jakob Hall was named Summit League Pitcher of the year.

Hall has been the most consistent force for Oral Roberts baseball the season after the Golden Eagles made it to the College World Series.

In conference play, Hall has been spectacular. In 10 starts he has gone 8-1 with a 2.64 ERA. He has tallied 69 strikeouts to only 14 walks. Hall has had 11 straight starts going six innings or more.

ORU head coach Ryan Folmer talks about Hall’s consistency in the rotation.

Hall is in his junior season at Oral Roberts. He worked his way out of the bullpen and into the starting rotation early last year when ORU made its run to Omaha and has stuck as the Friday night starter since.

Golden Eagles are 24-30-1 entering the Summit League Tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

ORU ended up as the No. 3 seed. Game one will be at 6:00 PM against North Dakota State.
