US Congressman Josh Brecheen will be in Bartlesville on Saturday to assist with local authorities on FEMA-related issues.

This will be Brecheen's first visit to Bartlesville since the May 6 tornado. He say's he will be looking for ways to get help for those who qualify and will see what he can do through Homeland Securiy, a house committee on which he sits, to ensure things get streamlined and that the the taxpayer's money is spent efficiently.

While speaking with the congressman on Friday, we asked why he vote NO on the FAA reauthorization bill. Brecheen said the add-ons like DEI requirements, money for electric engines and long list of other add ons did not belong in reauthorization that will last 4 years and that the cost was way out of line in his view. Brecheen said there are $4 billion in raemarks for New York alone in the bill.
