2024 Doenges Ford Indians Roster Set
The roster for the 2024 Doenges Ford Indians is tentatively set, as the Tribe had about 20-25 guys tryout for the club on Thursday evening.
Bartlesville will have a nice mix of returners and newcomers this year. Familiar faces pepper the lineup.
It will be headlined by former Bartlesville High Bruin Brenden Asher, who becomes the second NCAA Division I pitcher to throw for the Tribe in the past three seasons.
Former Bruin’s Luke Fox and Nik Johnson return to the program after their freshman season playing college baseball this past spring.
Manager John Pannell details a couple of utility returners who should be able to help the club.
Several talented newcomers will have their first season with the Tribe. Including: Eric Olenberger, a former Bruin who also was in college ball this past spring. Along with current Bruin’s in Hunter Shea, Jaxon Zaun, Liam Buchanon and Byrce Leulf.
Some other towns and schools will also be represented. Wesleyan Christian School star athlete Kael Seimers and Nowata’s Kaleb Bashford both return to the team. Copan sophomore Zane Strickland will also be in his first year with the program.
Pannell says the mix of old and new is good news for everyone.
Nothing concrete on the opening date for the club, but there is a good chance of beginning the season at home during Memorial Day weekend.
