Bartlesville High has its third of four straight home basketball double-headers on Friday night. Both BHS teams host Enid for another District twin bill.

For the Bruin guys, another game where they could be competitive.

BHS fell against Putnam City the last time out in a low-scoring affair on Tuesday night. Bartlesville scored only 18 points and shot 16-percent from the field in the District rematch. Despite good defense and rebounding, it wasn’t enough to keep up with the Pirates down the stretch.

Head coach Clent Stewart says he liked a lot of what his team did on Friday, but they couldn’t buy a shot.

Bartlesville (3-14, 2-8) also shot only 12-percent from three-point range, going 2-16. BHS was blistering hot from beyond the arc early this season, but the Bruins deep shooting has waned in recent weeks.

Bartlesville is shooting 24.2-percent from three in its last seven games. In its first nine games, the Bruins shot 35-percent from deep.

Stewart says he still thinks jump shots are one of this team’s strengths.

On the girl’s side, Bartlesville is above .500 at 9-8, 3-7 in District action. The Lady Bruins have won five of their last six.

A 6:30 tip on the ladies’ side, with the guys to follow on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage on KWONTV.com.
