OKWU basketball is walking away with mixed emotions after a split result at home against Friends College Wednesday night. Ladies first, this one was wacky as OKWU started on a 15-0 run in the first quarter and actually led 30-28 at the half before things went awry.

Friends would explode offensively in the second half and outscore the Lady Eagles 50-20 in the final two frames to grab a 78-50 win. Lady Eagles fall to 4-13 and 2-10 in conference play.

On the guys side now, it was a wire-to-wire lead that led to a 92-61victory. This one was semi-close early, but DJ Talton was the difference in this one as he scored 22 on the night and 15 of it in the first half to help propel OKWU to a 37-23 lead.

The second half was all about offense for the Eagles, they would score 55-total points in the final 20-minutes, including this alley-oop slam for Jaden Lietzke.

Five Eagles scored in double figures and 11-Eagles overall scored on the night. Dylan Phillip carried a huge part of that in the second half as he scored 11-points, all in the second half including this steal before the and-one layup.

Eagle men improve to 16-1 and 10-1 in conference play as they await a matchup with very good Kansas Wesleyan team on Saturday.
