We will also have Nowata basketball back on the air on Thursday night.

The Ironmen will try to bounce back following a buzzer-beating loss at the hands of Caney Valley on Tuesday night.

Despite that loss, the Ironmen are clearly playing better. Nowata has won four of six after starting the season at 1-5. A good turnaround for Derick Ott in his first season as Ironmen head coach.

Ott says a lot of the better play can be attributed to better shooting.

Nowata will host South Coffeyville on Thursday evening, a part of a three-game week for both Nowata teams, all against schools from Washington and Nowata counties.

An 8:00 tip on KRIG 104.9 with a video live stream on KRIGTV.com.

Nowata now 5-7 overall while the Lions are 0-8 in Class B.
