High school basketball tournament play is here, as one of the busiest weekends in local sports starts on Thursday.

Bartlesville High is hosting the annual ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational, with games starting at 10:00 Thursday morning at Bruin Field House.

Bartlesville boys (1-4) and girls (2-4) will get a chance to get a few home games after most of November and December was spent away from BHS. The Lady Bruins face Tulsa Memorial (2-3) while the BHS guys take on Southmoore (4-3) in the final games of the day.

Boys head coach Clent Stewart talks about the Bruin’s Winter Break after a 1-4 start to the season.

One of the positives on Bartlesville’s roster thus far is junior Jacob Veit. Veit has been the Bruin’s top rebounder thus far and has shown an increased ability to score as the season has gone along.

Stewart talks about Veit’s contributions.

Girls are scheduled to start at 7:00 with the guys at 8:30, if the event is running on time.

We will have coverage of both Bartlesville games on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage on KWONTV.com
