The Nowata Ironmen basketball squad was back in action Tuesday night for the annual Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament as they played host to Rejoice Christian. This game got out of hand early in favor of Rejoice as they would go on to win, 77-49.

Nowata trailed 34-20 at the half when they would make a run in the third quarter. The Ironmen would get the deficit all the way back down to 10-points to make it 48-38. After a good start to the second half, Spencer Bullen and Kaleb Bashford hit back-to-back-to-back threes, including this one.

Things would become disastrous for the Ironmen from that point on, as the Eagles would go on a 23-1 run to extend their lead. The Eagles would close the game outscoring them 29-11 after the 9-0 run by the Ironmen in the third quarter.

Nowata falls to 0-3 and will next be in action on Friday, Dec. 8^th when they take on Chelsea. The girls beat Rejoice 44-38 and will play Oolagah on Thursday.
