The Bartlesville High School Bruin Brigade Marching Band continues its tradition of excellence after scoring a superior rating at the OSSAA East Regional Contest on Wednesday in Muskogee. That’s the top score any band can receive.

The Bruin Brigade began their contest season at the Moore Outdoor Music Festival in September, where the band came in third place. Other contest performances included the Bentonville, Arkansas Marching Invitational and the Branson, Missouri Marching Invitational, where the band also placed third.

The Brigade will not be performing during Friday night's football game due to it being Senior Night.

The Bruin Brigade’s last competition is on Saturday at Broken Arrow High School for the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association 6A Championship. The band’s preliminary performance is at 2:45 p.m. Finals begin at 7 p.m.

You can catch the band's final performance of their field show, "Mountaineer," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Custer Stadium.

This story was updated at 1:09 p.m. Oct. 26 to reflect that the Bruin Brigade will not be performing during half-time on Oct. 27.
