Dewey Football Drops Sixth Straight Game

The Dewey Bulldoggers have dropped their sixth straight contest, this time a home matchup to Inola, 35-16. Dewey capitalized on the first defensive drive with Bryce Sickler getting an interception, but the Bulldoggers unfortunately would follow by going three-and-out.
The Longhorns added two rushing touchdowns to go up 14-0 in the first and felt like they were about to take all the momentum with a chance to go up 21-0, but Zaiden Masters for Dewey had other things in mind at the cornerback spot.
The Dewey offense was plagued by turnovers Thursday night as Ryder Muninger threw two of his four interceptions in the first half, including one that led to an Inola touchdown to make it 21-7. Dewey would add a field goal to make things interesting at 21-10 as they would get the ball to start the third quarter.
Inola would outscore Dewey 14-0 from there and hold on to win 35-16. Dewey had four turnovers on the night combined with two turnover on downs. The defense played relatively well as they forced three turnovers of their own, all interceptions. Our Co-Patriot Auto Players of the game went to Zaiden Master for the pick-six and Gavin Lynch for scoring the only offensive touchdown for Dewey.
The Bulldoggers fall to 1-6 and look next Thursday to a road matchup with Tulsa Central.
