Washington Co. Commissioners Meet on Tuesday

Nathan Thompson
The Washington County Commissioners met Tuesday morning due to the federal holiday on Monday for what was a fairly standard meeting.
The commissioners approved disposing of two motor graders back to Yellowhouse Machinery Company under a lease/purchase agreement to prepare for the reacquisition of newer graders. The commissioners also approved two agreements — one for detention transportation services with the Oklahoma Department of Juvenile Affairs over the next fiscal year and one for bridge inspection services for two years.
During new business, the commissioners had to take a fairly unusual step, as a contract for a bid agreement came in after the agenda was published last week. While unusual, it is legal under Oklahoma law. Commissioners Mike Dunlap and Mike Bouvier explained what the agreement is for.
The Washington County Commissioners will meet again on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
