Copan football will try to get back on track on Thursday night after losing two games in a row.

The Hornets likely had to play the two best teams in Class C District 3 back-to-back the past the two weeks. After losing to Wesleyan Christian two weeks ago the Hornets fell to Wilson this past Friday, 50-20.

Some of the issues that plagued Copan against WCS reared their head again. Red zone scoring problems and turnovers were the two biggest ones.

After digging themselves a hole, Copan had a chance to come back, before another turnover put the game out of reach.

Head coach Marshall Foreman details the contest.

The Hornets still have a good chance to get into the playoffs, but it starts with a run beginning this week against an inferior South Coffeyville club. The Lions, Copan’s old co-op partner, are winless this season.

Foreman talks about his thoughts on his team with four District games remaining.

South Coffeyville is 0-7. The Lions came within three points of getting their first win last week, falling to Oaks Mission, 48-46.
