At Wesleyan Christian School, the Mustangs may have found their offensive momentum.

The return of senior quarterback Tyrel Cloud made all the difference in the WCS win over Copan this past Friday, 52-16.

Wesleyan’s defense bowed up when it needed to, and its offense was firing on all cylinders for the first time this year. The game was close early, but WCS pulled way.

Head coach Curt Cloud talks about the offensive change.

Tyrel Cloud was on fire on Friday from the quarterback spot. It was the senior’s 2023 debut after missing the first five games of the season due to injury. He went 17-27 for 267 yards and four touchdowns passing. Meanwhile he added 144 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. In total – 411 yards of offense and six touchdowns.

His dad, and head coach, Curt Cloud, talks about the performance.

Mustangs are 2-0 in District play, 3-2 overall.

WCS will face Bluejacket at home on Friday night at 7:00 off Silver Lake in Bartlesville.
